Our Cats

Each of our residents has their own story, personality & pace.

Meet our residents

They are here to find their for forever homes - and help you slow down in the meantime.

Jack

5 years old

Jack is a sweet, affectionate boy who settles in almost anywhere. He loves exploring his surroundings, eating and curling up for cuddles whenever he gets the chance.

Maggie

Maggie is a vocal, affectionate girl whose favourite hobby is dramatic window watching. Between chatting away and demanding attention, she likes to stay involved in absolutely everything.

Teddy

2 years old

Teddy is a big ginger boy with an unexpectedly squeaky miaow. He can be a little unsure at times, but once he relaxes he loves affection, cosy spots, and showing off his impressive purr.

Lilly

2 years old

Lily is a timid little girl with very strong opinions about personal space. She likes to do things at her own pace, but with patience and kindness she slowly begins to soften.

Dorothy & Sophia

Dorothy and Sophia are bonded sisters who must be adopted together. They can be shy at first, but once settled they love attention, cosy beds, and chirping away to each other throughout the day.

Granny

9 years old

Granny is a calm and affectionate girl whose ideal day involves a warm lap, plenty of fuss, and absolutely no unnecessary drama. She has fully mastered the art of relaxing.

Rosie

Rosie was rescued with a badly matted coat that had to be shaved right down, but she’s recovering beautifully. She adores head scratches and returns every bit of affection with enthusiastic head bumps.

Ava

Beautiful Ava is a very affectionate girl who loves attention and odd belly rub! Luckily when she was dropped off at the vet, an infection was quickly discovered and she had emergency life saving surgery. She is now recovering well and looking forward to her new life.

Hugh & Marvin

Hugh and Marvin are two shy boys still learning to trust people. Marvin has started to grow in confidence, while Hugh prefers to keep a little distance and quietly observe everything around him.

Coco

2 YEARS OLD

Coco had been straying for quite a while. As a long haired cat she had some terrible tats and now has some regrowth! She is super friendly and loves attention. She has an epic rumbling purr. She’s fond of making biscuits and the odd head bump.

A calm transition space

In partnership with Belfast Kitten Rescue, Kumiko welcomes rescued adult cats into a calm transition space while they prepare for adoption.

All of our cats are:

  • Neutered
  • Vaccinated
  • Health-checked
  • Carefully matched to the environment

The adoption process

One of the most special parts of Kumiko is seeing our rescue cats find their forever homes. If you meet a cat during your visit and feel a connection, we’d love to help you explore adoption.

  • 1. Meet the cats

During your visits, you’ll have the chance to spend time in the company of our rescue cats. Sometimes a connection happens immediately — and sometimes it grows quietly over time.

  • 2. Submit an enquiry

If you feel you’ve met the cat for you, simply complete our enquiry form.

  • 3. The Match Making

Carol from Belfast Kitten Rescue will get in touch for a chat.

  • 4. The happy ending

If everything aligns, the adoption will be arranged directly through Belfast Kitten Rescue, who will guide you through the final steps.

Belfast Kitten Rescue

Belfast Kitten Rescue is a self-funded local rescue run from their own home, caring for abandoned and unwanted cats from across Northern Ireland. Their work supports every stage of a cat’s journey — from rescue and rehabilitation to everyday care and rehoming.
